Question 1

Where is Ohana Excellence located?

Accepted Answer

We have two homes in Corona: Manitou Home at 18580 Manitou St and our newly opened Crown Ranch Home at 4308 Crown Ranch Rd. We serve families across Corona, Norco, Eastvale, Riverside and the surrounding areas.

Question 2

What’s the difference between a board and care home and a larger assisted living community?

Accepted Answer

A board and care home is a smaller residential setting rather than a large assisted living community. The practical difference for your family is a home environment, consistent staff who know your parent's routines, and home-cooked meals in a real kitchen rather than a large institutional setting.

Question 3

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Rates start at $7,000 per month. What's included depends on the level of care needed, so the honest answer is that we'd rather talk it through than quote a number that turns out to be wrong for your situation. Call 714-595-8734 and we'll walk you through it.

Question 4

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept private pay and long-term care insurance. We don't accept credit cards.

Question 5

Do you accept residents living with dementia or Alzheimer’s?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We accept residents living with dementia and Alzheimer's, and provide memory care support as part of daily life here. If you're unsure whether we're the right fit for your parent's stage, call us on 714-595-8734 and we'll give you a straight answer.

Question 6

How long has Ohana Excellence been operating?

Accepted Answer

We've been caring for residents at Manitou Home on Manitou St since 2023. We recently opened our second Corona home, Crown Ranch.

Question 7

What languages do your staff speak?

Accepted Answer

Our staff speak English.

Question 8

Can I take a virtual tour before visiting in person?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you can take a self-guided 3D tour of Manitou Home from anywhere. Take the virtual tour, or schedule an in-person visit at our newly opened Crown Ranch Home. A Crown Ranch virtual tour is coming soon.

Question 9

Can we visit before making a decision?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we'd encourage it. Call 714-595-8734 to arrange a visit and we'll help you choose the right next step.

Question 10

How do I know the home is properly licensed?

Accepted Answer

We're licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, as a residential care facility for the elderly. You can look up any California facility's licence and inspection record on the CDSS public search. We'd encourage you to check ours, and to check any other home you're considering.
